Meet the Leadership Team

Paul Lockwood, President and Founder of LRT has worked in the field of remediation, dewatering and wastewater treatment since 1992. He has covered all aspects of client needs, as an environmental consultant, consulting engineer, project manager and contractor. He combines his extensive work experience with his education, to provide the most practical approach in both project management and contracting. Thus, he has a unique understanding of the needs and requirements of all parties involved in a project.

Mr. Lockwood has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Allegheny College and a Master of Science in Hydrogeology from the University of Idaho.

Mike Deso has been with Lockwood Remediation Technologies since 2014. His role as Vice President and partner at LRT includes sales & business development as well as project management. Before joining LRT, Mike worked in sales and project management for a large water treatment company and in large scale manufacturing.  Mike’s past experiences and skills have make him a valuable asset to the company. He has extensive knowledge of water treatment and dewatering systems, by-pass pumping, and equipment rental and sales.  Mike’s positive attitude along his ability to develop solutions for our clients, have been a key contribution to the success and growth of LRT.

Kim Gravelle has over 20 years of environmental remediation, consulting, dewatering and wastewater treatment experience. As Senior Project Manager, she is responsible for leading and supporting the implementation and execution of all LRT’s projects.  She directs the LRT Project Team to ensure projects are executed safely, on-schedule and within budget.

In addition to her leadership on projects, Kim works directly with the LRT operations team to continue to help improve efficiency and excellence for project delivery. She is consistently increasing the capability of the project team to solve complex dewatering and water treatment challenges for our clients and developing the capacity for the project team to simultaneously manage numerous complex projects.

Kim completed her undergraduate studies at the Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geology.  She is also a licensed Professional Geologist.

Pete Curtis is an experienced professional in the environmental services industry. Over the years, he has held progressive roles in business development and project management, working with both regional and national firms.  With Lockwood Remediation Technologies, he focuses on providing tailored solutions to complex environmental challenges throughout the Tri-State. He brings a practical, relationship-driven approach to supporting clients across construction, engineering, and environmental sectors.

Pete completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts/Political Science.

John Henry has over 30 years of civil engineering, environmental remediation, consulting, dewatering and wastewater treatment experience. As Senior Project Manager, he is responsible for taking a technical lead for some of some LRT’s most challenging projects.  His primary focus is dewatering, water treatment and site remediation, including system design, implementation, optimization, and operation and maintenance.  John has extensive hands-on experience and has gained a keen knowledge of various dewatering methods, water treatment systems, and remedial technologies, including wellpoints, deep wells, sumps, ion exchange, metals precipitation, carbon treatment, pH adjustment, chemical-aided settling, soil vapor extraction, air sparging, product recovery, multi-phase extraction, in-situ chemical oxidization, and sub-slab depressurization.

John completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is also a professional engineer (PE) in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.

Bryan Watkins has been with Lockwood Remediation Technologies since 2012. His role as Operations Manager includes project management, procurement and the management of the LRT Field Staff. Bryan’s past experiences and engineering skills have made him a valuable asset to LRT. He has extensive knowledge in the operation and design of dewatering and water treatment systems and developing solutions for our clients.

Bryan completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Tammie Hagie has over 20 years of environmental remediation, consulting, dewatering and wastewater treatment experience. As an Estimator, Tammie is responsible for the execution of all LRT’s bidding activity. In the past several years, she has managed over 2,000 proposals for sites located in New England and throughout the entire US.  Tammie ensures that the estimating department continues to provide detailed and innovative proposals to all our clients. As a key part of the sales team, she is continuously pursuing new and exciting opportunities within LRT’s market.

In addition to estimating, Tammie manages LRT’s health and safety program and continues to support the management team to elevate LRT’s safety performance. She coordinates continued education and communication of up-to-date practices.  She also is instrumental in the the development of new company safety programs to maintain LRT’s exceptional safety record.

Tammie completed her undergraduate studies at Western New England University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science.

Melaku brings over a decade of experience to his role as Human Resources Business Partner at LRT. Before joining LRT, Melaku served as the HR Manager at a non-profit organization, where he played a significant role in implementing a comprehensive HR system.

At LRT he is the primary point of contact for staff regarding HR-related concerns and plays a vital role in fostering a positive and productive work environment. Melaku ensures that every aspect of LRT’s HR processes run smoothly and in alignment with organizational goals. He works closely with leadership and staff to support recruitment strategies and resolve workplace issues.

With his strategic insight and people-first approach, Melaku continues to strengthen LRT’s HR framework, ensuring that both the organization and its employees are set up for long-term success.

Melaku completed his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Davidson College.

Mr. Zina is a General Superintendent at LRT with over 30 years of dewatering, environmental construction and remediation experience.  In this capacity at LRT, Mr. Zina specializes in the construction, installation and O&M of dewatering and water treatment systems including, wellpoint, sump and deep well systems, precipitation/flocculation, oil/water separation, pH adjustment, filtration, ion exchange, air stripping and sludge preparation and treatment technologies.  He has also built and installed a variety of environmental treatment systems including soil vapor extraction (SVE), air sparging (AS), dual phase extraction, groundwater pump and treat, LNAPL recovery, oxygen injection and in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO).
