The project included the installation of a permanent water treatment system within an existing garage at the project location and is designed to treat groundwater with an elevated pH. Groundwater is recovered from an interceptor trench installed at the base of a retaining wall along the western portion of the site. Sump wells were installed within the interceptor trench and submersible pumps installed within each sump well transfer water to the water treatment system.
LRT provided on-site training to the Owner and/or property management maintenance personnel on the dewatering and treatment system operation, required maintenance and record keeping procedures, health and safety protocols, and conditions of pH and turbidity that require notification to the Town of Andover Conservation Commission.
