At the PSEG Terminal in Linden, NJ, LRT assisted in the design of the permanent water treatment system. LRT constructed and tested the modular treatment system off site for a seamless installation at the terminal. The system currently operates at a maximum flowrate of 50 GPM. The water treatment system utilizes an oil water separator, bag filtration and carbon/resin media and is built within a custom elevated enclosure with a two rooms; one for controls/electric and one to house all Class 1. Div. 1 treatment equipment. A PLC-based control panel operates the system and actively monitor tank levels, system pressures and flowrates throughout the system. Additional filtration to treat Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Light Non-Aqueous Phase Liquid (LNAPL), and chlorine is also incorporated into the design.
