Specific project work involved a dewatering system and associated water treatment system to support the construction of a six-story 12,720 square-foot dormitory building with one level of below grade parking for Saint Peter’s University located in Jersey City, NJ.
LRT designed and installed a wellpoint dewatering system surrounding the perimeter of the excavation to provide dry conditions during excavation work. LRT also designed and installed a water treatment system rated for flowrates of up to 300 gpm. The water treatment system was designed to remediate elevated total suspended solids (TSS) and petroleum-related compounds prior to discharge. Treated water was discharged under a publicly owned treatment works (POTW) permit to the local combined sewer/stormwater system. LRT performed the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the dewatering and water treatment systems for the duration of the project.
