The project involves the treatment of a food manufacturing facilities wastewater in South Windsor, Connecticut. The facility currently discharges their process water from the facility to the sanitary sewer system under the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CTDEEP) Significant Industrial Users (SIU) General Permit.
LRT designed and installed an automated pH adjustment system to manage the wastewater discharged from the facility. This system can manage both high and low influent pH so that the discharge standards to the sanitary sewer are met at a maximum flow rate of up to 300 gallons per minute (gpm).
